"I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together."
— Marilyn Monroe

    Find peace with my mind
    Friday, February 11, 2011 || 12:06 AM

"You need to learn how to select your thoughts just the same way you select your clothes every day. This is a power you can cultivate. If you want to control things in your life so bad, work on the mind. That's the only thing you should be trying to control."
    - Elizabeth Gilbert (Eat, Pray, Love)

My mind has been in a state of war for sometime now.
UNI issues are such tough decisions for me to make, cos I don't know what exactly I would love to work as in the near future.
Should I study something I like or some common degree?
If I study something I like, I will learn the specific skills for that particular industry.
Which kinda restrict me, and job hopping might be tough.
If I pick up a common degree, well at least, I will have numerous job options.
But usually common degrees would be biz-related? &I can't explain why/how I detest biz oh-so-much.

I did try to apply to NTU comms, aint sure if they will accept me. It's a tough school to get in.
If I dont, I would love to work first and enjoy life a little before all this studying starts again.

    Been affecting my mood too.
I need to find peace with my mind, it's a must to.
    Selective thoughts.
    Let's go!

    Thankful for all I got
    Monday, February 7, 2011 || 10:43 PM

In everyone's life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit.
    -- Albert Schweitzer

    Have you ever......
Been at your worst, someone was there for you.
When you need someone deperately, someone was there for you.
When you are joyous, there will be someone to share the joy with you.
When you are upset, there will be a shoulder/hug prepared for you.
When you just wish someone will be there, someone will be there?
When you least expect someone to do something for you, the person actually did it?
Someone went the extra mile just to do something to make you happy and ask for nothing in return?
Just want to go out, and you asked someone, and someone will say sure, let's go.
Someone who don't condemn you for who you are, for whatever bad things you've done.
Just when you have nothing on Earth to do or not knowing what to do, someone will say I'll accompany you.

I've experienced all these; because of those great friends I have around.
I can't be more thankful for them; you guys know who you are.
I've never be good at keeping friendship alive.
Even back in sec school days, I was never really that close with my friends?
I don't know why. Maybe it's just me.
Sometimes I just can't find the right "thing" to feel in place with them.

I will never want this to happen to my friendships with my close poly friends,
cos they mean a lot to me. A lot.
I wanna grow old with them, be there for each other in tough times.
This bunchful of people, I'll keep them close to my heart and I'll do all I can to keep these friendships alive.
    Ain't going to lose them.
Some of them are really one of a kind.

Truely, deeply thankful for all of you people :)
